The last trip we took to see my uncle, we found all sorts of old family pictures we'd never seen before.  Since grandma and granny's deaths, he has ended up with most of the old pictures.  We took them to Kinko's for quick copies and then I scanned those copies at home.  Shabby Princess' "Olivia" piece-a-cake album is an AMAZING tool for getting all these photos in a presentable fashion.  Here is a small sample of what I've been working on.  All the images will open larger for better viewing if clicked on.

 
The baby in these photos is my mother, 5 months old.  Her mom, Ellen, was 15 in these pictures.

 
The little girl is my grandmother (Ellen, in the layouts above.)  The couple is my grandmother's parents, the other lady is granny's sister.

 
The first layouts were of my grandma and her first child -- this is grandma pregnant with her 8th and last child (this was like 18 years later.)  Her older 3 kids were living with their dad, but here she is with the others.
